In addition to being a great way to give back to those in need, volunteering at Bridging was a terrific opportunity for team building, socializing and staying active.

A group from Executive Connections volunteered some of our time on June 15, 2017 and we all had a great time helping Bridging achieve their mission! We all now know how to size and fold blankets!

Through the effective reuse of donated items, Bridging improves lives by providing quality furniture and household goods to those transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. They serve nearly 100 households each week who are given a sense of dignity as they rebuild their lives. Check out their website and see how you can help.

Note from Bridging:
Your team did such a great job rolling blankets at Bridging last week. I am so glad that everyone had fun! I am looking forward to working with you in the future!

PRISM is a social service agency that helps people meet their basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter. Our services include the Marketplace Food Shelf, Shop for Change thrift shop, housing and employment assistance, and free stuff for kids. We work with all our participants to make connections and get referrals to find relief in other areas of their lives where there is stress or hardship. PRISM is the place to go when people in Crystal, Golden Valley, New Hope, Plymouth, Robbinsdale, and the surrounding northwest suburbs of the Twin Cities need assistance with food, clothing, and housing; and when caring individuals, families, and community partners have extra to give.

PRISM’s amazing volunteers donate an estimated 23,000 hours annually. Groups like Executive Connections help with maintenance, stocking, cleaning, and bulk packing projects.

Note from PRISM:
Thank you again for organizing the group last night! It was a lot of fun to work with you all, and I’m really impressed with how much we accomplished!

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and we ship these meals to our distribution partners. FMSC meals have reached nearly 70 countries around the world in our history. On Friday, November 20th, a few members of the Executive Connections Group volunteered at FMSC. We all had a great time doing it and our efforts resulted in feeding 98 children for one year. If you have a group that is looking to give back to the community, I highly recommend FMSC. and
